Partnerships In Work
Operation Rhino
The Operation Rhino campaign has been launched! Our aim is to educate the youth in Asia where there is a cultural belief that rhino horn has medicinal value. Silent Heroes has created an educational flyer for distribution to school children in China, and is working in cooperation with local schools and Universities to help spread the word that rhino horn is not medicine. The flyer gives information on the status of rhinos in the wild, and helps enlighten students on rhino conservation and how they can help. By educating the youth, SHF believes it will empower this generation to stand up and teach their elders that the belief is harmful to rhinos. We are also looking for US schools with sister schools in Asia to help spread the word. Please contact us for more information, or if you would like to help in distributing our flyers to students.
Download the English PDF and/or Mandarin PDF of the flyer.
Makerere University Scholarship Fund
Silent Heroes will partner with Makerere University to establish a Scholarship Fund to support a veterinary student at Makerere University Veterinary Faculty. The student will be chosen by the Board of Directors based on an interest in wildlife medicine and a need for financial assistance. The chosen scholar will fulfill an externship or post-graduate internship with one of the projects sponsored by Silent Heroes Foundation.
